The 25-year-old took a blow to the head in practice on Tuesday, and was subsequently held out of camp for the rest of the weeks after complaining of headaches.
Skele was taken to hospital for more extensive checks after the headaches failed to clear, but no serious damage was found, and Skele was prescribed painkillers.
Latvia were in Liepaja, continuing their preparations for the EuroBasket 2009, in which they have been drawn in Group B alongside Germany, Russia and the team which progresses from the Additional Qualifying Round.
