Team 2008-09: Did not play in 2008-09 (injured)
Career: Neptunas Klaipeda (Lithuania-LKL, 1996-99), Lietuvos rytas Vilnius (Lithuania-LKL, 1999-03), Tau Ceramica Vitoria (Spain-Liga ACB, 2003-05), New Orleans Hornets (USA-NBA, 2005-06), Olympiakos Piraeus (Greece-ESAKE, 2006-09)

The sharp-shooting guard sky-rocketed to the European basketball elite in 2003 when he finished as the top-scorer for Lithuania in their gold-medal triumph in Stockholm. He impressed at the Olympics the following year, but his career has been on a downward spiral ever since. After spending one season on the bench of the New Orleans Hornets, he returned to Europe with Olympiakos only for a number of serious injuries to keep this deadly shooter off the court for the majority of the past three campaigns. At first he ruptured an Achilles tendon. After recovering from that, he was hit by the back injury which not only sidelined him for the last part of the 2007-08 season, but the whole 2008-09 campaign. Olympiakos tried to cut his contract, running until 2010, but a court ruled in Arvydas' favour. Can he still play like he did a few years ago when he led Tau Vitoria to the Euroleague championship game? Hard to say, but the latest news coming from Lithuania tells us he'll be ready for EuroBasket 2009.
