PLAYER PROFILE
Team 2008-09: HAPOEL JERUSALEM (Israel-BSL)
Career: Maccabi Ashdod (Israel-D2, 2001-02), Elitzur Ramla (Israel-D2, 2002-04), Hapoel Haifa/Ramat Hasharon (Israel-BSL, 2004-05), Maccabi Rishon Lezion (Israel-BSL, 2005-06), Hapoel Galil Elyon (Israel-BSL, 2006), Ironi Ramat Gan (Israel-BSL, 2007), Hapoel Holon (Israel-BSL, 2007-08), Hapoel Jerusalem (Israel-BSL, 2008-09)

If you're looking for the Cinderella story in the Israeli camp look at Roth. He'll be one of the shortest players in EuroBasket but that never stood on his way to success, although not many believed he could reach it. Roth was never a member of any youth national team, and spent the first seasons of his pro career in the second division in Israel, before climbing, season-by-season to a higher level team. In 2008 he was the starting point guard on Hapoel Holon that made history and won the championship title. A quick, athletic and fearless point guard that shows just how much character counts.
