Greece
Coach Panagiotis Yannakis: “We saw a very nice game, very competitive and very good quality. My team today showed very good character. We came into the game after two not very good games against Russia and Spain. In this game, we ran a lot better. We didn't have the same success defensively as in previous games but we had the desire. I'm very happy that my players kept their concentration even though they were down. I think this kind of game gives back the team the quickness and the desire to do more.”
Theodoros Papaloukas: “It's very important win for us, for psychological reasons as well. Our main target is to qualify among top eight teams in Europe. The last time this team loss two games in a row was the Olympics. So this was out of our character. This shows we are a team with character. The most important thing for me was when I made two turnovers at the beginning of second half and the coach kept me on the court. That helped my confidence a lot - and my team as well. In the end, we wanted more than them the game. The basket was like 10 points. It really gave us a lot of energy.”

Coach Jasmin Repesa: “You're always upset when you lose a game like this. But I'm also very satisfied that we were able to play with Greece. In the end of the third quarter, we lost our concentration and allowed them back into the game. It's important to stay cool, quiet and concentrated.”
Roko-Leni Ukic: “It was a very tough game. We lost the game but we can't be too sad because we played against a very good team. We knew they weren't playing that well and we tried to take advantage of that. But they caught us with some threes and then they made the big shot in the end.”
