Ademola Okulaja is one of those German veterans (Femerling and Nowitzki are the others) who is likely to play his last summer for Germany if the team fails to qualify for the Olympics. “The Warrior” as he is called was a cornerstone for the teams surprising success in Istanbul (4th) and Indianapolis (3rd). But after suffering a major injury in 2004, Okulaja had a tough time recovering. At age 32, he is no longer the athletic inside outside threat he was at North Carolina alongside NBA superstar Vince Carter. But this son of a Nigerian mother is still hard to guard and the reliable mid-range shooter likes to post up when he is guarded by smaller opponents. Look for him to be 100 percent motivated in what could be his last campaign for Germany.
