Michal is one of the best forwards in Poland and last season, he made another step towards Europe’s top level by moving to Spain’s ACB. He grew up playing at SMS, the basketball school set up by the national federation. Ignerski is very powerful and not afraid to bang down low but he is also a good outside shooter. He had two impressive seasons at Slask (2003-2004 and 2004-2005) and the following season at Anwil he became the unquestioned leader. He did not play much in the qualifying round because of minor injuries but EuroBasket will be a great chance for him to prove he belongs with the best in Europe. |
