Alex Mumbrú’s trip to Japan was the highlight of his international basketball career. He is ready to comeback at EuroBasket 2007 with an even more important role. Mumbrú, who played this season for Real Madrid with a good late season performance, could be a factor at either the shooting guard, small forward or power forward positions. He is an accurate long range shooter but has developed some very interesting low post moves as well, which, combined with his unusual dribbling and ball handling abilities make him a very rare player. However, although he has improved, he is not a great rebounder for a player his size and is not quick or strong enough to defend players at shooting guard or small forward position. Still, Mumbrú has enough skills to become an offensive force off the bench on any given day. |
