A new revelation to Turkish basketball, Atsur has never played in the top level Turkish league but could end up one being of the National Team’s brightest new stars. If you measure his skills you probably won’t be impressed, except possibly with his ability to hit jump shots. Insert him in a 5-on-5 situation, however, and then you’ll realize how good he really is. He is an extremely smart player who does the right things instinctively. He picks his spots and his decision making skills are second to none. He is cool on offense but on defense he is a monster. Despite his slow feet he anticipates almost everything. Just like on offense, his 1-on-1 defensive skills are mediocre but in team situations he seems like he is everywhere, disrupting every pass and every offensive move.
