PLAYER PROFILE

Team 2008-09: DYNAMO MOSCOW
Career: Avtodor Saratov (Russia-Superleague, 2000-02), CSKA Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2002-05), Portland Trailblazers (USA-NBA, 2005-06), Fort Worth Flyers (USA-D-League, 2006), Sacramento Kings (USA-NBA, 2006), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2006-09)

To compensate for Kirilenko's absence, the pair of forwards Sergey Monya and Viktor Khryapa will be essential for the Russian team. CSKA's power forward is a great leaper and his athletic abilities and versatility have seduced the NBA scouts, but his only season oversees was disappointing. He's often considered as an underachiever, because of his apparent passiveness, however he can still be important to the team as he was during the Qualifying Round of the EuroBasket 2007. He is actually a solid shooter and a good defensive player.
