Coelho uses his strength and work ethic to get the better of his opponents, utilizing good positioning to block shots and grab rebounds. À bit undersized, the 2.00 m power forward is not afraid to mix it up with bigger and stronger opponents. Offensive skill is not one of Coehlo’s strengths and he needs to continue to work to improve his shooting. Still, his career has been one of steady improvement. For the National Team, he does his best work coming off the bench as part of a rotation that includes Élvis Èvora and Francisco Jordão.  It’s a role Coelho is used to averaging 3.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in an average of just 10 minutes of action for his domestic side.
