Career: Spartak Pleven (Bulgaria-Pro A, 1997-98), Slavia Sofia (Bulgaria-Pro A, 1998-99), CSKA Sofia (Bulgaria-Pro A, 1999-2004), Academic Sofia (Bulgaria-Pro A, 2004-…).

At 29, Georgi Davidov is one of the veterans of the group. Paradoxically, he really started his career with the national team only last fall, during the qualifying round. A power forward with a nice offensive touch, he has just completed his first season with Academic Sofia, after five years spent with rivals CSKA. With limited playing time (10 mpg), he averaged 3.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game in the ULEB Cup last season. His performances were better in the domestic competition (9.8 ppg during the regular season) and he even affirmed himself as one the main threats of the team during the playoffs (11.9 ppg), helping Academic win its third title in row.
