Career: Life Center Academy (USA-High School, 2000-01), Grupo AZ Ferrol (Spain-LEB2, 2001-02), Forum Valladolid (Spain-Liga ACB, 2002-03), Caja Rural Melila (Spain-LEB, 2003), La Palma (Spain-LEB, 2003-04), Adecco ASVEL (France-Pro A, 2004-07).
This very gifted guard had an odd beginning to his career, going to a US High School, a basketball academy in Dakar, Senegal for a few months and then playing in the third level in Spain (LEB2) before landing in Valladolid. In March 2004, ASVEL signed Sangare to a long-term contract and this very quick point guard, who can also be used as a number two, has never stopped improving. He still lacks consistency on offense but is a crowd favourite because of his flashy style of play. The 23 year-old averaged 8.3 points and 4.3 assists this season in Pro A while improving his shooting to 46% and hitting 34.3% of his three-pointers. Sangare might be one of the last players cut because of his "Parker-like" game as his coach may prefer to balance his backcourt.
