Career: Politekhnik Kharkov (Ukraine-Superleague, 2002-04), BC Kyiv (Ukraine-Superleague, 2004-05).
This player is being closely monitored by NBA franchises. But in the FIBA Europe League, scouts were often left disappointed as Pecherov spent most of his time on the bench. Only twice did he have a chance to showcase his skills including a 14 points and 4 rebounds game in 15 minutes against Skopje. It happens more often in a Superleague largely dominated by Kyiv and the youngster almost always responded with great statistics… Pecherov had a great summer individually as he averaged 12.7 points and 9.4 rebounds in the U20 championship in Russia. Named MVP at the Global Games in Dallas in 2004 he once again dominated the opposition this summer during the same tournament : 26.2 points and 14.0 rebounds… His size, athleticism and ability to step outside make him an intriguing prospect. |
