Anton Ponkrashov had created big hopes as a youngster. He was actually nicknamed the "Russian Papaloukas" for his combination of size and court vision, but he hasn't met the expectations for the moment. At times he is able to perform as a high level like in Khimki's only win against CSKA Moscow in the Russian finals where he had 12 points and seven assists in 20 minutes, but he's still not consistent. However he's only 23 years old and can become more consistent in the future. Nevertheless he remains a nice creator and his passing abilities can be valuable for the Russian national team. |
