Considered the best Croatian player in the national league for the past two seasons with Cibona, Kus has learned and improved a lot recently. He is now stronger, better on defense and very dangerous on offense. He is an experienced playmaker who can also be effective as a shooting guard. The 29 year-old is very quick, a good passer and has also become an effective three-point shooter over the years. In 2005-06 he was a backup for Scoonie Penn in Cibona, but this past season his club handed him the starting job and Kus answered by becoming the leader averaging 13.6 points and 3.1 assists per game in the Euroleague.
