Very much the on court leader, ‘Niksa' is now in the twilight years of his career and this could be his last tournament in the famous colours of Croatia. If true, then plenty of people in the game would love the popular veteran to end his national career with a medal and to bow out on a real high. Has won titles and comes into the tournament having had a good year after returning back to Cibona. Respected by the fans for never having turned his back on national team duties even in tough times, he is a warrior and an intelligent player who will again utilise his wealth of experience. In fact when it comes to experience, there will be nobody in the tournament with as much under his belt. He will be playing in an astonishing seventh senior EuroBasket tournament. |
