Real Madrid coach Joan Plaza limited his court time somewhat last season which was a disappointment. Especially since two summers ago in Spain it looked like his career was taking off having written himself into folklore by drilling the last gasp triple that defeated the hosts. He followed that up by spending the year on loan at city rivals Fuenlabrada where he was terrific and hugely influential. That caused Real to bring him back to Vistalegre but in an ordinary season for the Whites, Tomas has suffered more than most by getting only 15 minutes per game. He has produced some flashing glimpses of his attributes such as his good physical presence at both ends of the floor and shooting prowess. Loves being on national team duty where he is trusted a lot more and influences the game. |
