PLAYER PROFILE
Team 2008-09: BC Levski Sofia (Bulgaria-NBL).
Career: Balkan Botevgrad (Bulgaria-Pro A, 1997-98), Partizan Belgrade (Serbia-Montenegro-Reserve Team, 1998-2000), Levski Sofia (Bulgaria-Pro A, 2000-04), Academic Sofia (Bulgaria-Pro A, 2004-07, Apollon Limassol (Cyprus-Division A, 2007-fev 08), KK Split (fev 2008-08)

When he was younger, people used to think that Mladenov had NBA potential. Schooled at Partizan Belgrade, he had everything to make the NBA teams drool: a 7-footer who can run the floor with ease, with offensive skills and comfortable facing the basket. He did try out for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Sacramento Kings, but he didn't manage to make the jump and went undrafted. Mladenov showed some good things in his homeland with Levski Sofia, but since, his output took a serious blow during his three years stint with Academic Sofia. His slump carried through to his outings with the national team where he's no longer the undisputed starter at the center position. Will coach Gershon be able to resurrect his career?
