Stoykov is nothing less than the best player Bulgaria has seen in the last 10 to 15 years. In his country, this lefty forward has won every possible personal trophy as well as 5 national championships with Lukoil Academic Sofia. He has also made a name for himself at the European level (24 ppg in ULEB competition in '05), but, surprisingly for such a talented scorer, he's never managed to be really successful outside of Bulgaria and has never played in the Euroleague. In 2006, he went on to play for Pamesa Valencia, but it didn't work out too well. At 32 years old, this is one of his last chances to shine on such a big stage.
