Demond Greene initially considered not playing for the national team this summer, saying he needed a rest after the season. But he reconsidered in mid-July and will undoubtedly be an important part of Germany's chances to win, given his strong defense and outside shooting abilities. Greene knows Bauermann well from years with the national team and with Bamberg, and his lock-down defense and leadership will be much needed in Poland. Greene had a couple major injuries in recent years, but he has fully recovered and is ready to help in Poland. |
