After signing a three-year contract with Benetton, Gigli has proved that he could play a major role with the National Team. His efforts at the last World Championship were appreciated and have earned him a chance to show his talents again at EuroBasket 2007. At Benetton, Gigli has become a more polished player, improving his overall intensity and his use of his body in rebounding and scoring around the basket. Has also has more confidence with his jump shot and has even become a threat from three-point range. Along with Bargnani, Gigli gives the Italians an imposing presence in the paint that they have never had in the past. |
