Georgia raced out to a 26-8 lead by the end of the first quarter and stormed to an 88-60 victory at Luxembourg to remain just one game behind Finland in EuroBasket Division B Group C.

Needing a success to keep pace with the Finns, who brushed aside Austria 87-63 in their game on Tuesday to improve to 5-0, the Georgians got 16 points apiece from Zaza Pachulia and Manuchar Markoishvili.

Finland destroyed Luxembourg 111-53 for their fourth victory in EuroBasket Division B.

Seven Finns finished in double figures scoring, led by Petteri Koponen’s 19 points.
