Greece knew that advancing to the quarter-final round would be anything but straightforward after losing Antonis Fotsis in the build-up to the EuroBasket to a broken finger.

It is no surprise, then, that they must beat a dangerous Portugal side on Tuesday to reach the last eight.

For its only second participation to a EuroBasket Final round, and its first since 1951, Portugal's expectations won't be so high. But the Portuguese survived in a tough qualifying group and eliminated usual EuroBasket contenders like Bosnia & Herzegovina and Israel.

The most physically strong player on the Portuguese National Team, Èlvis Evora has proven himself to be a key for the side.

The Cabo Verde native did not start playing organised basketball until he was 19 years old but in the intervening years Evora has worked incredibly hard to improve his once rough game.
