Cabezas is back to the national team after not being called for the Olympic Games. He has been in and out of the Spanish team for most of the decade, and hung a World Championship gold medal on his neck back in 2006, and a silver one at EuroBasket 2007. Now, he rejoins the team with a familiar face on the bench: Sergio Scariolo, for whom he has played his best basketball with Unicaja, and will follow his master's steps to Khimki Moscow Region. A great defender, with an athletic and strong body, he is a good shooter and very sharp when driving to the basket and in the quick transitions. He will boost this Spanish team off the bench. |
