Career: Unicaja Málaga (Spain-ACB, 1997-2007)
Berni Rodríguez helped his childhood team, Unicaja Málaga, achieve their first ever ACB title in June 2006 and only three months later he was a key player in Spain’s gold medal conquest at the 2006 World Championship. This season, Rodriguez has taken his game to a new level, becoming the offensive leader of Unicaja Málaga, a Euroleague Final Four team. Rodríguez, a shooting guard, possesses a playmaker's mindset and an innate understanding of the game. The 27-year-old is a great passer, reads the game wonderfully and is always more then ready to become a living nightmare for the opposing team's offensive star, as Theodoros Papaloukas will always remember after the 2006 World Championship final.
